This piece depicts seven houses from
within my family tree on my maternal side of the family. It
traces my "roots" back as far as my Great Grand
parents. The vines represent my family members starting with
my Maternal Great Grand parents, through my second marriage
and my own two children. There are vines for each marriage
and birth with the family (see diagram), as well as bridges,
secret steps and other symbols that represent major events
in my life.
